A drama and two contradictory versions. A young woman of 18 years old died after nine days of coma in Épinay-sur-Seine (Seine-Saint-Denis), tells us the Bobigny public prosecutor's office, confirming information from the Parisian. The teenager had jumped from a moving car. An investigation into manslaughter is underway.
Sexual assault or ambush?
Initially, a version of the facts emerges. The victim was in the car with another young woman, and a man at the wheel. The latter allegedly attempted to sexually assault the young woman. She then escaped from the vehicle before falling to the ground.
However, the evolution of the investigations entrusted to the Aulnay-sous-Bois police station could change the situation. Questioned while in police custody, the driver explained having been the victim of an ambush, of which the two young women could have been accomplices. “Once the young girls were in his vehicle, two individuals intervened to attack him and damage his vehicle,” the Bobigny prosecutor’s office told us.
Three young people indicted
Panicked, the driver drove off again just as the victim was getting out of the car. The second young woman in the vehicle and the two young men, minors, suspected of having attacked the driver, were taken into custody. All three were indicted for attempted extortion and placed under judicial supervision.
