water management, a priority for the department

On October 22, the Department of Tarn officially launched act 2 of the conference relating to water management in the territory.

Initiated in 2022the first act of this conference aimed to respond to the concerns of departmental stakeholders regarding the question of water management on the territory. Thus, the latter made it possible to highlight several areas of action such as the preservation of environments, runoff/infiltration, control and security of uses, water saving, knowledge/data collection and governance.

Two years ago, our attention was focused on a major drought event. Today, our focus is on the effects of heavy precipitation. Our concern is to be able to anticipate and respond as best as possible to all these climatic constraints.

Looking towards the future

From now on, with the launch of this act 2 at the initiative of the Department of Tarn, in partnership with the Prefecture and the Adour-Garonne Water Agency and with the presence of around a hundred actors, the priority is to expand and develop the areas addressed in the first act. The work carried out during this new phase is indicated in a White Paper which aims to respond to all of these concerns.
