Judge Sabassy Faye, president of the Ziguinchor departmental court, recently made a series of visits to elementary schools in Ziguinchor to hold mobile hearings. This initiative aims to bring justice closer to citizens and raise awareness among young schoolchildren about judicial processes.
Remember that judge Sabassy Faye became famous for having requested the reinstatement of Ousmane Sonko in the electoral lists. Faced with this decision, the Judicial Agent of the State of Senegal filed an appeal with the Supreme Court. The Court overturned and annulled Judge Faye’s decision. The case was retried at the Dakar court where the judge followed his counterpart Sabassy Faye in also requesting the reinstatement of the mayor of the city of Ziguinchor in the electoral lists.
