After numerous sporting challengesSofiane Sabbani has launched a new one: the creating a podcast show on theworld of running in the Channel.

Titled Listening Terminalthis project is “the realization of an idea which germinated while listening to programs of this kind,” says the man who also took part in the Olympic Marathon for All. in August 2024.

A meeting with Marin Blondel

However, the project took a long time to see the light of day, because the runner did not feel like doing it alone. A meeting “made the project a reality”: that of Marin Blondel, one of the best Manche cross-country skiers, who “had the same idea”.

“By running together, the project was refined,” they announce. The concept is simple:

Giving voice to local athletes. It was by seeing that there is a certain level and a lot of stories in the Channel that the project was born.

The first episode is already available, and discusses “the journey of Marin, who has big news with his participation in the Berlin Marathon» September 29 .

“Unpretentious”, the duo would like to “go in-depth into the subjects”, and follow local newswhich relates to running, directly or indirectly.

In their productions, they would like “ popularize and make athletics accessible with a technical touch“. They want to “touch everyone by telling stories and giving voice to athletes of all levels».

“There is a certain level in the Channel, stories to tell. »

The duo is quite complementary on the air: Marin brings “his experience”when Sofiane, thanks to his job in integration has a “ good sense of dialogue and discussionto ask the right questions.”

This new activity has not“not aiming to become professional”and is not intended to be “too time-consuming”. The pair are counting on “one episode per month, so as not to have pressure with work and racing. We want it to last and for it to remain a pleasure because we like talking about it.”

THEnext guestsare already set or targeted, and “the list is already long”. Diverse profiles, “men and women, trail and road specialists… nothing is closed! », assures Sofiane.
