22 degrees in November in Dordogne: no broken record but remarkable temperatures

Heat record in November 2015

These are not the hottest temperatures for November in the Dordogne. The record was broken in November 2015, “it was 24.8 degrees in Bergerac, more than 25 degrees in Saint-Martial-de-Viveyrol”. Current temperatures are the second hottest ever recorded in the Dordogne.

Temperatures above seasonal norms

Despite everything, these temperatures remain “remarkable” for the period, notes Loïc Taillieu, “We are five to seven degrees above seasonal norms.” The heat will continue for the next five days. Last year, this period was special due to heavy rains between mid-October and mid-November.

According to the Météo France forecaster, the neighboring departments of Corrèze and Charente share these high temperatures for November, however, about a hundred kilometers away, the departments of and Deux-Sèvres record temperatures closer to 10 at 12 degrees.
