Event: The Associative Life Meetings return for a 2nd edition

Ce Saturday November 16 will host the second edition of the “Meetings of Associative Life”an event co-organized by the City of Amiens and the Maison des Associations d’Amiens Métropole. This unmissable meeting of associative actors will be held from 8:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Espace Dewailly and will have the central theme: “Strengthening proximity: what means of action for associations? “.

This day aims to explore the notion of “proximity” from several angles. The organizers thus wish to highlight the crucial role of associations in the development of close ties and solidarity within the community. Furthermore, reflection will also focus on the added value of close collaboration between associations and local authorities as well as inter-association cooperation.

An event focused on action and debate

Participants will be welcomed from 8:30 a.m., with an official opening scheduled for 9:00 a.m. by the mayor of Amiens, accompanied by Stéphane Descombesdeputy for Local Democracy, Community Life and Citizen Participation.

The discussions will be structured around three round tables:

  • At 10:00 a.m.: “Association life at the service of local solidarity”including Bruno Bienaimédeputy mayor in charge of nature in the city, health and ecological transition; And Mateo De Fariapresident of the FAEP. This debate will highlight the contribution of associations to neighborhood solidarity.
  • At 11:15 a.m.: “Association life at the service of territorial dynamism”in the presence of Rémy Cavengresearcher at CURAPP-ESS, andAna Saurhead of the community life and solidarity department of the City of Amiens. They will discuss how associations help to energize the territory.
  • At 11:45 a.m.: “Association life at the service of local democracy”hosted by actors such as Jean-Christophe Loricdeputy mayor for the North sector, and Edith Cauchoispresident of the Petit Saint Jean neighborhood committee. This last exchange will focus on the way in which associations promote citizen participation and local engagement.

The morning will end with a speech byAmélie Lefebvre Chombardacademic, to synthesize the ideas exchanged.

Afternoon of workshops and collective conclusion

HAS 14h00participants will be able to deepen their reflections by choosing from three workshops covering the themes of the morning. These interactive sessions will allow participants to propose concrete solutions to strengthen proximity within their neighborhoods and the city of Amiens.

The day will end with a restitution of the workshops at 15h45followed by a collective conclusion. A lunch cocktail will also be offered to participants, offering a moment of conviviality and informal exchange.
