A young woman was discovered tied up after a rape in the village of Orgeix, in the Ariège Pyrenees. An individual was arrested, indicted and placed in pre-trial detention.
According to information confirmed this morning by the prosecution of the Foix judicial court, a 25-year-old young woman was found last week, tied up after being raped in a field in the town of Orgeix, a small village of around a hundred of inhabitants located between Ax-les-Thermes and Orlu, in the Ariège Pyrenees.
The acts were allegedly committed on the night of Wednesday October 23 to Thursday October 24. An investigation was then carried out by the Foix research brigade, with the support of the Ax-les-Thermes gendarmerie brigade community. A search warrant having been issued by the Foix public prosecutor's office, this investigation led to the arrest of an individual aged 22 in the Pyrénées-Orientales on October 24.
Placed in police custody, he was then presented on Friday October 25 before the investigating judge of the Foix court, indicted for kidnapping and rape and placed in pre-trial detention.
