Quentin Sauret? He excels in juggling flavors and showcasing local products. At the world pizza championships, which are being held this Tuesday and Wednesday in Menton, his objective is clearly assumed: to win the world title in acrobatic pizza, for which he shone with a second place during the previous world championships.
A regular at championships, Quentin is participating in several categories this year. It's in the running for the title of best classic pizza, calzone, XXL, speed and, of course, the highly anticipated acrobatic pizza.
The title in sight in acrobatic, but not only!
Triple French champion and vice-world champion in acrobatic pizza, Quentin Sauret is aiming this year for the world title, which he missed by just five points for a technical fault during his last participation in the world championships.
It was also during these championships that he presented his specialty: Auvergne. A pizza that he imagined at home during the confinement period which was voted 44e best pizza in the world.
Quentin will present it again this year, in a slightly different form which he is keeping secret for the moment. “Competing at the world championships is always an exciting event. It's an opportunity to shine alongside strong competitors, whether in acrobatic or in all categories for that matter. This year, I am ready to give everything to reach the podium in acrobatic. I also have my chances in the XXL category and in speed. I train for snacks,” confides the pizza master.
