Monday November 4, 2024, four members of the Pompiers Missions Humanitaires association flew to Paraguay, in South America. Objective, “for ten days”shares the Calvados association which is also called upon to provide assistance to populations victims of disasters: training these fellow firefighters and their “deliver techniques related to road rescue and fires in natural areas”.
“Impatient to meet up with my Paraguayan friends”
Firefighters Humanitarian Missions has been in contact with the firefighters of San Ignacio, in the province of Misiones, since 2023, and has already sent an ambulance and no less than 5 tons of equipment and goods in recent months.
“Our volunteers will also take advantage of the weekend to go to the fire school in Encarnación, on the border with Argentina, and will work with around fifty firefighters from this town”specifies the association based in Ifs, near Caen, “can’t wait to meet up with her Paraguayan friends”.

In all, “nearly a hundred trainees will benefit from this training”account Pompiers Missions Humanitaires, who will take advantage of the trip to gain experience as well: “Our team will take turns taking guards every night. Concretely, each member of the association will be at the start of ambulances or any other equipment like any other firefighter from the San Ignacio barracks. »
