Hunting disputed in the : “We are not brigands”, reacts the hunting society

Through the voice of Chantal Langlais, its regional delegate Centre-Val de and Île-de-, the hunting company has decided to react to the criticisms of the collective Abolissons la vénerie today (AVA). In his eyes, the hunt at Vieilles-Maisons-sur-Joudry took place in good conditions.

The collective Abolissons la venerie today (AVA) published a video on X, Friday, linked to a hounds hunt which took place in the , Saturday October 26.

A hound hunt “between bungalows and pedal boats” on a leisure center in the Loiret is controversial

In this video, we see a deer hunted by hounds taking refuge in the Etang des leisure center, in Vieilles-Maisons-sur-Joudry. Despite the presence of walkers, the crews and the pack continued their hunt. A breach of the law, according to the AVA collective, which cites a 2019 ministerial decree.

“This is total misinformation!”

Through the voice of Chantal Langlais, its regional representative for Centre-Val de Loire and Île-de-France, the hunting company has decided to react. “The animal only passed through the Etang des Bois which was closed elsewhere. It was caught (killed) in the Etang d’Orléans, a little further away,” she says.

“The Vouzeron rallies, whose boatswain is Adrien Bejot, and Brie, each have a license allowing them to rent a lot in the Orléans forest. For this hunt on October 26, each rally was on a deer . Except that the two deer ended up in the same place, so did the two crews. As one of the two deer hid, everyone ended up on the remaining deer.

The delegate criticizes “the all-out buzz sought by Keely Fisher, member of the AVA branch in the Orléans forest. I wonder on what grounds they will be able to file a complaint. They have the right to be against hunting, but don’t say anything. It’s total disinformation!”

Chantal Langlais specifies that the hunting company does not defend the crews who are at fault:

“I am part of the arbitration and sanction committee. Recently, we decided that a deer taken while it was in a fence, near a house, was not possible , not defensible. A law prohibits us from doing so. The deer should have been pardoned.
