The vice-president of the Paca Region and president of the community of communes of Serre-Ponçon, Chantal Eyméoud, the president of the community of communes of Pays des Écrins, Cyrille Drujon d'Astros, as well as the prefect of Hautes-Alpes, Dominique Dufour, organized a meeting recently to relaunch the Haute école du bois project, in the industrial wastelands of Péchiney, in L'Argentière-la-Bessée, as well as in Embrun. “During this meeting, a strengthened partnership with the Region's services and the firms Rising and Ernest & Young was established in order to ensure optimal expertise in structuring the project and obtaining the necessary financing. A central element of this partnership will be the mobilization of green funds, which will play a key role in the success of the project,” indicates the community of communes of Pays des Écrins in a press release.
The project, launched by Florian Court, the director of the association responsible for creating the campus, which was dissolved in January 2024, consisted of the opening of two campuses, one in L'Argentière-la-Bessée, one in Embrun , in order to welcome 400 students from the CAP to the Bachelor of Engineering.
