Last July, the Rural Coordination of Haute-Vienne (CR 87) published a press release and posters on its site encouraging hunters and farmers to carry out the illegal killing of wolves. Nearly three months later, the hate calls are still online. One Voice takes the agricultural union to court. Hearing at the Limoges judicial court on November 6 at 2 p.m.
“Bonus of €1,000 to the one who brings back a dead wolf”, proclaimed online – via posters and press release – the Rural Coordination of Haute-Vienne on July 26, 2024. We immediately put the union on notice through a bailiff so that he stops this call for poaching, reminding him of the legislation and confirming that we would file a complaint against him and that of the poachers as soon as a wolf is killed illegally in the department.
Although we never received a response, we learned through media that our mail had been received:
“I received the summons this morning (Thursday 1is august). They warn us, but there is nothing more they can do. For our part, we will not remove our posters”boasted Thomas Hégarty, president of CR 87 in the press. Thus, CR 87 persists and signs, demonstrating that it does not hesitate to officially flout the laws to persecute wolves.
In order to defend these wonderful animals which must have their place in nature and because we cannot let the agricultural lobby go after them in defiance of regulations and in the name of the sacrosanct “protection of livestock” ( Should we still remember that the breeders supposedly devastated by the death of their sheep are not traumatized when it comes to sending them to the slaughterhouse?), we have taken the Haute-Vienne Rural Coordination to court.
Meet at the Limoges judicial court on November 6 at 2 p.m.
We call on the public to support our fight for wolves who only aspire to live in peace by signing our petition.
