Monday October 21, 2024among the Flamanville brewers of 3 Badgeaux, it was the major annual meeting of La Manche brewers. Armed with their best bottles, sixteen Manche breweries met for a day of exchanges and conviviality.

11,000 bottles for 430 assembled calendars

Their mission of the day? Create their famous collective calendar, a must for Norman beer lovers, perfect for discovering their talents.

Among the breweries present, we find: Au brasseur Quibois, Capitaine James et ses mousses, L'écume des cliffs, La LoupBar, La Pinte de Saire, La Moussette, Les brassins du Dillon, Brasserie Poisson, Brasserie Frontière, Brasserie de l' Ouve, L'Embrasserie Querquevillaise, Brasserie les 3 Badgeaux, Brasserie Normande, Les Brasseurs Flotteurs, Brasserie Sainte-Mère et Fée barley. Everyone brought their specialty, blondes, ambers, IPAs and more original recipes. It was also an opportunity to see each other again, to discuss equipment, recipes, daily struggles. Because brewers are often stuck in their corner and this day was a breath of fresh air to exchange tips and anecdotes.

A project born in 2019

Martial, from L’Écume des Falaises, is at the origin of this initiative. In 2019, he was looking for an idea to do something new and, with his eight recipes, he couldn't fill the 24 boxes of a calendar. So he had the idea of ​​contacting other breweries. Since then, this tradition has become well established.

This calendar is a nice selection of Manche beers, with a few new arrivals added to the adventure. Each brewer adds his own touch, and the volumes vary: 33 cl, 50 cl, enough to satisfy all hop lovers. Last year, the calendar was a great success, and this year, 430 calendars – or 11,000 bottles – have been carefully assembled to please curious palates.

An original Christmas gift

At 79 euros including tax, the calendar is on sale directly from participating breweries and their distributors. A great gift idea to please while supporting Norman artisans. With this calendar, each box is a new Manche beer to discover.
