While the Social Security budget is being discussed this week in the National Assembly, nursing home staff are worried about budget cuts in public establishments. The CFDT Interco 35 calls on them to strike this Monday in Ille-et-Vilaine.
The union challenges the government with this provocative question “do we need a new Orpéa scandal to have the means to work properly?” According to Fanny Lefaucheur, general secretary of CFDT Interco 35, the situation has not changed for two and a half years. “Today we simply see that human and financial resources are not at all up to par. We have agents who are no longer present in nursing homes quite simply because they have the impression of being in mistreatment due to these lack of financial and human resources”.
This is why the union is calling for a strike this Monday, to challenge Breton elected officials but especially the government while the Social Security financing bill provides for new budget cuts for public establishments.
