Seven victims in a car accident in the heart of Pays d’Auge

Saturday evening, a 21-year-old woman and a 48-year-old man were transported in absolute emergency to University Hospital, following an accident between three vehicles near Douville-en-Auge (). One of the cars was found on its roof.

The accident took place on the evening of Saturday November 2, 2024. At 8:13 p.m., twenty-two firefighters intervened on the D27, near the town of Douville-en-Auge (Calvados). An accident between three vehicles results in seven victims, between 18 and 48 years old.

In total, five emergency vehicles, one road emergency vehicle, one command vehicle and 2 SMURs from Caen and Côte-Fleurie were mobilized. This system mobilized four aid stations: Périers, Troarn, Dozulé and Houlgate.

The first car was driven by a 48-year-old man. The forty-year-old remained stuck in the vehicle immobilized on the roof, he was transported in absolute emergency to Caen hospital. A 21-year-old woman, who was in one of the two other cars, was also transferred to the CHU in an absolute emergency.

Five other people, including a man and a woman aged 21, as well as three women, aged 18, 20 and 24, were admitted to Caen University Hospital and Criqueboeuf Hospital for related emergencies. The teams on site also protected and marked the site.
