THE gendarmes du Morbihan were on the bridge during the All Saints' Day weekend. Numerous roadside checks were carried out. A driver was flashed 199 km/h.
Flashed on a road at 110 km/h
SATURDAY November 2 2024, in the middle of the afternoon, on national road 166, between Vannes and Ploërmel, the motorized brigade carries out speed checks.
“A BMW 1 Series is controlled at the speed of 199 km/h instead of 110 km/h », indicate the military on social networks.
Intercepted, the Luxembourg driver had his driving license immediately withdrawn and was prohibited from driving on national territory. He also had to immediately pay a deposit in the amount of 1,500 euros.
It's not the only one. Fifteen speed violations were noted during this inspection.
Drunk driving
During the night of Saturday November 2 to Sunday November 3, the gendarmes carried out blood alcohol checks near nightlife establishments.
“Seven drivers were fined for driving under the influence of alcohol and five had their driving licenses revoked before answering for their actions before the Court,” specifies the gendarmerie.
