Any weapon holder, whether hunter (with validated license or not), former hunter and sports shooter, must be in compliance with the law and have registered their weapon before December 31 (mandatory deadline) on the SIA digital platform (Weapon Information System) in application of decree no. 2024-415 of June 27, 2024. Namely, the possession of recreational weapons is regulated by this information system, all weapon owners must be included in it. . Single-shot smoothbore weapons acquired before December 2011 are not subject to this, however it is strongly recommended to do so.
