And two. The AS Roanne Natation licensee will not have made the trip to Montpellier for nothing. At the French short course swimming championships, Lili-Rose Berthelot continues to shine.
Friday, November 1, the young 20-year-old swimmer was crowned French champion in the 100m butterfly, her favorite discipline, by clocking a time of 59'04″.
She flew through the final
This Saturday, she had an appointment for the 200m butterfly. During the heats in the morning, Lili-Rose Berthelot achieved the second time: 2'14″78, synonymous with a potential silver medal in the final. It was ultimately gold that the Roannaise went for.
Starting like an arrow, the ASR licensee was never joined by her competitors in the small Angelotti basin in Montpellier. She won in 2'11″42, ahead of Isabelle Videment (2'12″55) and Soizic Gelfmann (2'13″47).
“Everything is possible”
There are still two results to be obtained this Sunday, November 3: the 50m butterfly and the 200m freestyle. “Everything is possible. But it will be tense, there are very good sprinters (on the 50m butterfly, Editor’s note)Mélanie Henique and Béryl Gastaldello who made the Paris Olympics”, confides Céline, the mother of Lili-Rose Berthelot.
