Pascal Lewicki, president of CASDIS*, was present Wednesday October 30, 2024 at Gourdon Fire and Rescue Center (CIS) in order to officially hand over the keys to a brand new vehicle to Lieutenant Pascal Males, head of the CIS. The first Light Road Rescue Pump-Tonne Van (FPTLSR) of the history of the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service (SDIS) of Lot is now in service.
A “mixed” vehicle for the Lot firefighters
This so-called “mixed” vehicle has the particularity of being able to intervene in fire and road rescue missions. It is characterized by its side boxes dedicated, on the one hand, to the function fire and on the other hand, road rescue with its extrication tools.
This vehicle is intended to replace the FPTL (Light Pump-Tonne Van) and the VSR (Road Rescue Vehicle) in the CIS where it is assigned.
The cost of the vehicle is €300,000 (€190,000 chassis and €110,000 equipment).
On the technical side, it is a Renault D12 P4x2 Fire & Rescue 240 E6 whose equipment was carried out by the company Gimaex.
It is armed with 4 personnel in road rescue mode and 6 in fire mode.
This event was held in the presence of Jean-Marie Courtin, president of the Communauté Communes Quercy Bouriane and mayor of Gourdonof Colonel Hors Classe Jean-François GaltiéLieutenant-Colonel Jérôme Ferrage, Head of the Technical and Logistics Group as well as numerous CIS personnel who attended a detailed presentation of this new machine and the various accessories that make it up.
The SDIS has planned, in its multi-year investment plan, to acquire 4 in total over 4 years.
