Thursday October 17 at the Jacques le Caron trade school, Bruno Fontalirand, Managing Director of Pas-de-Calais habitat, received the “committed company” label.
Pas-de-Calais Habitat carries out numerous actions for the inclusion of people looking for work in the Arras Urban Community. This is how the lessor was selected by France Travail as a return-to-work partner and recipient of the “committed company” label.
Among these actions, let us cite the “Live my life” system which aims to support tenants of all ages towards a return to employment, by allowing the discovery of professions and by offering a suitable support path.
Partnerships with Pas-de-Calais Habitat
As such, Pas-de-Calais Habitat has signed a partnership agreement with Logista Hometech, Ateliance but also the McDonald's company in order to jointly develop actions to discover professions, such as for example customer advisor, electrical maintenance worker or in carpentry, preventive maintenance technician, catering team member.
On the program: CV writing, interview presentation, self-confidence, know-how, knowledge of support systems (license, childcare), registration with France Travail. Then, for half a day or a “Live my life” day, they test a job that is recruiting.
At the end of this immersion, they decide whether they will continue the discovery with two additional days in the company. If the test proves successful, they can then get a job. The objective is to match the right candidate with the right position.
Live my life…
In 2023, as part of “Vis ma vie”, Pas-de-Calais Habitat and France Travail mobilized and supported 23 tenants: 13 participants found employment and/or training and 10 are registered in specific support courses of France Travail.
The lessor is also a partner of France Travail for classic recruitment actions (employment forums, job dating, etc.) with a desire to recruit disabled workers (DuoDay operation). In 2023, the lessor had 65 disabled workers among its workforce. Furthermore, Pas-de-Calais Habitat responds positively to numerous internship requests and often welcomes students to its premises in order to introduce them to the diversity of professions within a Public Housing Office.
Since January 1, the lessor has already welcomed 120 trainees for professional immersion as part of training or professional retraining. At the same time, 6 students on professional training contracts are welcomed at the headquarters.
The “committed company” label, awarded in the form of a diploma, is recognition for companies involved in the professional journey of the student, pupil or apprentice. It underlines the role of Pas-de-Calais Habitat as an effective player in inclusion, serving the overall performance of the company.
After the label is awarded, the winning companies can be part of the committee of committed companies.
