Nearly 200 kilos of drugs seized from a ship off Island

The prefecture of announced this Saturday the seizure of nearly 200 kilos of various drugs, on a ship off the coast of Reunion. An operation carried out by the Armed Forces of the Southern Indian Ocean Zone (FAZSOI) on Thursday October 31, 2024.

On Thursday, October 31, a surveillance frigate of the Armed Forces in the southern Indian Ocean zone (FAZSOI) seized a significant quantity of drugs off the coast of Reunion.

The nearly 200 kilos of cannabis, resin, heroin and methamphetamine were on board a coaster-type ship, the Reunion prefecture reported this Saturday. The boat was then 180 km north of Reunion.
