A meeting about the birds of Ariège with the Occitanie Bird Protection League on Saturday November 16 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The LPO Occitanie is offering a bird discovery day on Saturday November 16 at the Parc aux Bambous. Valérian Tabard, head of regional citizen mobilization programs at LPO Occitanie and responsible for community life, will host this day of discovery of the birds of Ariège.
The morning will be devoted to discovering the birds of the Bamboo Park from 10 a.m. to noon. We will take advantage of this moment to discover the park, and recognize the different bird songs and with a little luck we will be able to observe them. It is advisable to equip yourself with binoculars, glasses and cameras. At lunchtime, it will be a Spanish inn atmosphere, meals taken from the bag to be enjoyed outside in the garden or sheltered in the Park room in case of bad weather. The afternoon, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., will be devoted to the advice given by Valérian to promote biodiversity in your garden or on your balcony and become an ambassador for the protection of nature at home and around you.
This event will allow you to better understand the birds of Ariège, welcome them into your garden, and promote local biodiversity. It will also be an opportunity to discuss and propose different upcoming events.
It is obligatory to register with Valérian as places are limited. It is possible to participate in the morning or afternoon. The morning “Bird Discovery” walk in the Bamboo Park is open to all at the price of the garden visit (Adult €8.80 / Teenagers 13 to 18 years €6.60 / Children 4 to 12 years 4.40 €). In the afternoon, the meeting is free for members, owners of LPO Refuges, and volunteers and future LPO volunteers and members of Ariège. Registration is required by telephone with Valérian on 06 81 37 81 63 occitanie.lpo.fr
