the cross-country ski season starts in Bessans this Saturday!

The first snows have arrived! And with them, the opening of the cross-country ski season in Bessans, in Savoie. This Saturday, a day of free activities awaits all snow sports and mountain enthusiasts. ODS radio reveals the program to you.

A morning reserved for cross-country skiing and biathlon elites

From 8 a.m., the Bessans Nordic area will open its doors to elite skiers and biathletes. Exclusive access until 1 p.m. to allow professionals to start their training on fresh snow.

Afternoon for all

From 1 p.m., the general public can come and enjoy it for free. The station provides a friendly atmosphere with hot drinks, loud music and good humor. The opportunity to discover, or rediscover, the pleasures of cross-country skiing with family or friends. With the program:

• Hardware testing and demonstrations
  From 1:30 p.m., specialized brands and equipment manufacturers will be present to offer ski tests and maintenance demonstrations. A special time to try the most recent equipment and learn from professionals.

• Initiations and activities for all
  Several activities will be organized to introduce young and old to Nordic pleasures. An introduction to biathlon with laser shooting, a photo exhibition by Olivier Trompette on the beauty of the landscapes of Haute Maurienne Vanoise, as well as a free introduction to cross-country skiing, accessible upon registration for beginners.

Ski exchange

For those who wish to buy or sell equipment, the ski exchange will offer you the opportunity to try the equipment on the slopes before making your choice. Note that the submission of articles is possible on November 1st and 2nd. Transactions will only take place throughout the day on Saturday.
