The Lords of Altamont and The Scaners perform in concert at the Moulin du Rousseau, this Saturday, November 2 from 8:30 p.m. They will offer a rock'n'roll and punk style.
IThere will be something for everyone this Saturday evening at the Moulin du Rousseau. The Lords of Altamont and The Scaners promise to ignite the stage from 8:30 p.m. To start this crazy evening, the Lyon group The Scaners offers a UFO, a retro-futuristic hybrid resulting from a cross between punk 77' and synth-punk, which would have crossed a space-time rift.
Voted best group at the Funtastic Dracula Carnival, they have become the favorite synth punk group of our Spanish neighbors and they are well and truly invading the planet. At the top of digital platforms, chronicled in “Rock & Folk”, “New Noise”, they released their first album in 2018, followed by a second in 2019, confirming their status as an essential group in the emerging synth punk scene. During the years of Covid-19, they devoted themselves to writing the third album, released in March 2024. The Scaners select their releases with several tours, and will be here this Saturday to make you tremble.
Producing real rock'n'roll
But not only that. Since the evening will continue with the American group The Lords of Altamont. They bring rock and roll fury. London rhythm'n'blues of the mid-60s shares the same place as New York bowery of the 70s among The Lords' influences. They also take inspiration from kids banging out primitive riffs on guitars in America, in garages, next to cut-off motorcycles and big American cylinders to produce the rare elixir of true rock'n'roll. The story of the group began at the end of 1999. Jake Cavaliere, with numerous groups and projects to his credit ranging from garage to punk and dating back to the end of the 80s, called on Johnny Devilla, a teammate of sensational instro/surf band The Bomboras, to form something new.
Two groups that will make you vibrate for an evening.
