An inadvertent vote. After several hours of debate in the National Assembly, Place publique deputy Aurélien Rousseau added his vote to that of the National Rally this Thursday, October 31. While the Lepéniste group's bill aimed at repealing the pension reform was being debated, the former Minister of Health in the government of Élisabeth Borne got confused when voting, reports the Huffington Post.
The text, examined within the framework of the parliamentary niche of the National Rally, was in fact swept aside by the oppositions (119 for, 197 against). If the groups belonging to the presidential camp, namely Ensemble pour la République, MoDem and Horizons voted against, the deputies of the New Popular Front coalition parties did the same. All except one, since Aurélien, although sitting on the benches of the socialist group which opposed the text, voted for.

Known for his frank positions, the man who left the government of Élisabeth Borne, since re-elected as deputy for Calvados, after the debates on the immigration law, assured that his vote was the result of an “error”.
