From mayor of Saint-Denis-lès-Rebais to the highest positions in the Senate. Anne Chain-Larché's career is now crowned with a new title. She has just been elected vice-president of the Senate by the members of the High Assembly.

“I am extremely happy with this election,” she tells us.

This election allows him to join the Senate Bureau, made up of twenty-six senators (the president, eight vice-presidents, three quaestors and fourteen secretaries). This office's mission is to “govern the organization and internal functioning of the senatorial institution,” specifies the senator.

What additional missions are assigned to this function? The President of the Senate himself only chairs the sessions at the most important moments, it will therefore be up to the Vice-President to chair them. She will also have to represent him in various circumstances.

This election is also accompanied by the allocation of a delegation. Anne Chain-Larché will be appointed in two weeks, once the president has made his decision. Two delegations are currently free: the one which concerns relations with communities and a second which concerns communication and in particular the administration of the Public Senate channel.

And even if she indicated to the President of the Senate, Gérard Larcher, that she is “available for the two delegations”, her heart swings in favor of relations with the communities.

But while waiting for Gérard Larcher to decide, the senator knows that she will have to fulfill a first important task: chairing the budget review session.

“Being part of the Senate office will also make it possible to carry the voice of Seine-et-Marne even further,” she concludes. She intends to continue her work with her colleague Pierre Cuypers to obtain solutions to the problems encountered in Seine-et-Marnais.
