Arrival of Santa Claus, torchlight procession… The Christmas market is actively preparing in Oisseau

The Christmas market returns on Sunday 1is December. An event which becomes more important from year to year, offers the opportunity to dive into the heart of the magic of the end-of-year celebrations with numerous activities. The Donne ton souffle association, which works against cystic fibrosis, is already launching a call to exhibitors: “If you are a craftsman or creator, send us your application”says Carole Leloup, the secretary of the association.

“Even though the holidays are still far away, it is time to prepare and plan them”. Friday October 25, the Oisseau associations met at the town hall to prepare the organization of the event. “Around thirty exhibitors will be present in the village hall or nearby in the school courtyard, which will allow visitors to do some Christmas shopping”reveals Christophe Grandin, president. Christmas stories, face painting, photos with Santa Claus, various creations with plastic balloons and even wooden games will be offered to young audiences. “On-site or take-away catering will be offered by associations for both lunch and evening meals”adds Christophe Grandin.

On site, visitors will be able to taste roasted chestnuts, pancakes, waffles, pancakes, hot rillettes, wine or hot chocolate. “The makeup stand will allow those who wish to make up their faces by transforming them into lion, cat, panther or other original masks”specifies Annick l’Hostis.

Torchlight procession

“At 5:30 p.m., we will take the children and adults to the retirement home, during the torchlight procession. Together we will sing Christmas songs for our elders and we will bring them chocolates”. After this escapade, the children will be invited to take a walk around the Christmas tree installed on the Church Square. “And there, the tree will light up before the children’s certainly amazed eyes!” ».
