Ban on free parties and rave parties this All Saints’ Day weekend in the .

The Prefect of the has decided to take rigorous measures against the organization of unauthorized festive gatherings. An order was issued, prohibiting any form free party, rave partyet technology choice during the All Saints’ Day weekend. This decision, motivated by security considerations, also prohibits the passage of any vehicle transporting sound equipment to these events.

The ban is in effect from Thursday October 31, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. until Monday November 4, 2024 at 9:00 a.m.. Local authorities remind that all musical gatherings must be subject toa prior declaration with the prefectural services. Since the beginning of the year, seven similar events have already been held on private property, indicating a growing trend toward these types of festivities.

Long weekends are usually conducive to the emergence of these gatherings. In the context of an All Saints' Day weekend and with mild temperatures for the season, the Prefect wanted to anticipate possible gatherings which could bring together hundreds, even thousands of participants over several days. As no declaration has been submitted for this weekend, the prefecture is acting proactively.

The decree highlights the authorities' concerns: this type of unregulated event could harm the public safetycause problemshygieneof healthinessand sufficiently disrupt the neighborhood as well as the traffic axes near.
