Alexandra Marin, board game enthusiast and president of the Jeux M'Creuse association in Bonnat

Every year, more than 1,500 new board games are released in . In February 2024, enthusiasts created an association in Bonnat. They meet twice a month to play together and test new games. The president, Alexandra Marin tells us how she caught the virus.

Are you looking for an activity for this Friday, November 1st? Why not fill this holiday with a board game evening? The association M'Creuse Games meets from 6:30 p.m. at the winery in Bonnat. Two Fridays a month, members meet for games of Uno, 1000 terminals, Monopoly, and to discover lots of new less famous games.

A passion that dates back to childhood

Alexandra Martin is the president of this association and one of the founders. At her house, she has accumulated over 400 board games different. Combined with the collections of other members of the association, this makes it possible to offer nearly 600 games to members.

This passion was certainly born in Alexandra Martin's childhood, during card games with her grandfather. Today she extols the merits of board games: “They work on our thinking and our ability to adapt. It teaches you to lose and win. It also allows us to be together, to break loneliness, to discover others and to discover ourselves.“, she explains to our microphone.

This association is mainly aimed to adults and adolescents over 14 years old. If you want to participate in a game night, no need to register. All you have to do is come between 6:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. at the Bonnat winery this Friday, November 1st. The first three sessions are free. If you want to join the association, you must then pay 10 euros for the year.
