Reservist soldiers from Charente train in the Dordogne for four days

60 reservist soldiers from the 515th regiment of the Braconne train, near Angoulême, in Charente are in Dordogne from this Monday, October 28. Reservists who can be sent on external operations

These 60 soldiers are reservists and “they can go anywhere,” explains Lieutenant-Colonel Roche. These soldiers can be sent on internal operations “in particular during sentinel missions” or during external operations. These reservists “are either former soldiers or civilians”. To become a reservist, you must be between 17 and 72 years old.

A meeting with residents this Tuesday

Périgourdins will be able to meet these soldiers this Tuesday, October 29 afternoonfrom 2 p.m., at the Pierre Gris sports complex in Sanilhac. This meeting is open to children and adults, an obstacle course for the public will be organized. Military vehicles will also be on display and there will be shooting sessions with foam projectiles.
