The Dior Gallery exhibits photographs of the house seen by Peter Lindbergh

Until May 4, 2025, the Dior Gallery (11 rue François 1ᵉʳ, 75008) is hosting around a hundred photographs by Peter Lindbergh and the fruit of the collaboration between these two pillars of fashion.

After the book published by Taschen on the relationship between the house of Dior and the photographer Peter Lindbergh, the Dior Gallery exhibits the photos of this adventure, taken between 1988 and 2018, and initiated by Peter Lindbergh who convinced the house of Dior to travel across the Atlantic many of its most legendary silhouettes.

“My big subject was women. Follow them as closely as possible so that they can express themselves and assert their truth. I'm tracking down a mystery, I'm looking for an emotion,” says Peter Lindbergh in the press release.

A maze of ten pieces mixing the physical silhouettes immortalized by Peter Lindbergh and the photos, taken from publications such as those composed for Vogue or Harper's Bazaar, as well as contact sheets and unpublished reading prints.

“The objective is to highlight the affinities that exist between Peter Lindbergh and the house of Dior. We thus find mythical silhouettes of the house both on hangers and on glossy paper”, reports the site “A Shaded View on Fashion” (Diane Pernet), which is also making news by organizing its fashion film festival , from November 7 to 10, 2024).

The photographs are spread throughout the space, sometimes single, huge prints, sometimes framed. The exhibition also presents an initiative imagined exclusively for the House: a shooting carried out in the streets of New York in October 2018, the images of which have never before been shown to the public.
