Out injured during the reception of Clermont on October 12, the French international will not join the Blues this fall. He will notably miss the match against New Zealand, scheduled for November 16.

No risks will be taken. Victim of a calf injury, Romain Ntamack will not wear the Blues jersey in November. This Monday, October 28, L'Équipe assures that the staff of the XV of preferred not to take any risks, in agreement with the player.

The French international will therefore miss the fall tour, during which the Blues will face Japan (9/11), New Zealand (16/11) and Argentina (22/11). On October 12, medical examinations predicted a convalescence period of approximately four weeks. This Sunday, Romain Ntamack explained on Canal + that his injury is “progressing rather very well”, while relying on caution.

The 25-year-old flyhalf has not been selected for France for more than a year. The last time was in August 2023 against Scotland, when he suffered a ruptured cruciate knee ligament, forcing him to withdraw from the World Cup.

His return to competition could come after the international break at the end of November. The one with the French XV could wait until early 2025 and the Six Nations Tournament. In the meantime, Fabien Galthié will count on Matthieu Jalibert or Thomas Ramos, to form the hinge alongside Antoine Dupont.
