A man found dead, with stab wounds, in a hotel room in Seine-et-

An investigation into intentional homicide was opened after the discovery of the lifeless body of a fifty-year-old in a hotel room in Seine-et-. The victim, already known to the police, was 52 years old.

A 52-year-old man was found dead in a room at the Campanile hotel located in (Seine-et-Marne), Saturday October 26, 2024 at midday. Seeing smoke coming from the bottom of the bedroom door, staff alerted the firefighters, reports The Parisian.

After extinguishing the fire, rescuers discovered the victim's body. The body was larded with stab wounds, according to details from our colleagues. The man, a Romanian national who had been staying in the hotel for several days, was reportedly shot around fifteen times.

No leads ruled out

An investigation into intentional homicide has been opened. The criminal brigade of the judicial police is in charge of the investigations. To date, no arrests have yet taken place. An autopsy must be performed to determine the cause of death.

The victim was “already known to the police for a criminal record”, the Meaux prosecutor's office said in The Republic of Seine-et-Marne. However, all avenues remain considered.
