Exchange before handing over

Farmers on one side, potential partners or buyers on the other, and a few minutes to meet and chat. This is the concept of Farm'dating.

On December 12, the Jura Chamber of Agriculture is offering, in partnership with Les Jeunes Agriculteurs du Jura, Soelis and LEGTA de Montmorot, a FARM'DATING afternoon at the Montmorot agricultural high school.

Using the romantic “speed dating” formula, the objective is to organize quick face-to-face meetings between farmers and candidates for takeover or operating association. Thus Farm'dating allows transferors who are leaving or looking for partners to meet possible future buyers or interested future partners. If things go well, a second meeting can then be organized on the farm. But there is no negative outcome. Discussing your projects and your motivations also allows everyone to move forward with their installation or transmission project.

Who can participate in Farm'dating?

Farmers: For all Jura farmers close to retirement or in reconversion seeking a partner or a buyer to pass on their farm and wishing to be put in contact with potential partners or buyers.

Project leaders: For all people with a thoughtful agricultural installation project and with experience (agricultural employment, apprenticeship, agricultural technician, etc.) and who would like to settle in the Jura.

How to participate in Farm'dating?

Any farmer looking for a partner or a buyer is welcome. To register, simply contact a transmission advisor before November 19.

Future transferors must be present on December 12 in Montmorot and will be supported to prepare their presentation with tools made available to them. Priority will be given to farms looking for a new partner.

Registration required with the transmission advisors of the Jura Chamber of Agriculture: Éric Menouillard or Marie Clément
