Two CFAs helped by the Region

The CFA des Compagnons du Devoir and the CFA agricole du will receive aid from the Region to improve housing and training conditions for apprentices.

Meeting in a standing committee on Friday October 18, regional elected officials voted, on the proposal of Regional President Carole Delga, an envelope of more than €5 million to support the development of apprenticeship training and to finance projects in the Training Centers. training for apprentices (CFA) in . Housing for young people, improving energy performance and accessibility are among the priorities of the investments made. The Occitanie Region is continuing its efforts to offer apprentices optimal working conditions and promote their success.

“Apprenticeship is a training path of excellence, which offers young people rapid and sustainable access to quality jobs. In Occitania, we have chosen to continue, in a proactive manner and despite the sudden drop in state support on this subject, to strongly support the construction and renovation of training centers in all our territories. Ensuring this network of training means guaranteeing our young people to find, close to home, a school to train in the profession of their choice. For our companies, it is the possibility of quickly finding the skills and talents necessary for their development. And for our territories, it is an important source of vitality and attractiveness”declared Carole Delga, before detailing the six projects which will be launched in the CFA d'Occitanie, for a total amount of nearly €3 million. In Gard, two establishments are concerned. Nearly €605,000 for modernizing accommodation and improving energy performance at the Compagnons du Devoir CFA in Nîmes. And €400,000 for the development of spaces and the modernization of the installations of the CFA agricole du Gard in Rodilhan.
