More than 300 members of the Clem café

Saint-Clement. General meeting at Café Clem. Café Clem, an associative café, recently held its general meeting. This place, open since September 2023, was born from the desire of the municipality and the population to provide, in a rural environment, a place of exchange, sharing and knowledge, for all generations.

Éric Lascaux, the president, opened the session with a retrospective of the past year, which was rich in events. As for the financial results presented by treasurer Dominique Roucher, it is more than positive with more than 300 members for an annual subscription of 10 euros.

Many activities offered

Many activities are offered there: on Tuesdays, creative workshops with Corine and Cathy (sewing, knitting, scrabble decoration), according to everyone's desires; every 15 days, on Wednesday evening, a writing workshop with Valérie, local author; on Friday evening, with Tony, an introduction to sign language; on Saturday mornings, the café is also open for discussions; on Sundays, every two weeks, Éric and Marie offer a hike of around nine kilometers on the surrounding paths, open to all levels (departure from the café 9:15 a.m.).

Various themed evenings are also organized: concert, belote, Saint Patrick, Beaujolais evening, dancing evening, ugly sweater, Halloween, Christmas, etc.
