Major deployment of firefighters this Sunday, October 27, shortly after 6:15 p.m., in Chaumont. The GRDF on-call technician is also on site. Firefighters were called to suspected carbon monoxide poisoning in an apartment building.
There are eleven firefighters mobilized in Chaumont this Sunday, October 27, at No. 7 Avenue du Général Leclerc. Shortly after 6:15 p.m., they were called for suspected carbon monoxide poisoning in a collective building, on the corner of rue Jean-Jaurès.
Placed under the command of Lieutenant Jérôme Bouring, the firefighters transported the large ladder and a victim assistance and rescue vehicle (VSAV).
When they arrive, the person who would be in distress… is not at home.
Firefighters take CO readings2passing through garages located on the rue Jean-Jaurès side.
Finally, a young man is evacuated and examined in the VSAV.
The firefighters are continuing to resolve the doubts undertaken by entering the building, whose main door is located on avenue du Général Leclerc, to look for a possible gas leak. There isn't one.
It will turn out that it was the inhabitants of a town in the Chaumont conurbation where the young man was in the afternoon, who called the firefighters for help, because their host had been feeling unwell since the Morning.
The latter was transported to the Chaumont hospital center.
