Supported travelers
Fifty-three passengers were on the train at the time of the accident. According to SNCF, two people were slightly injured, as well as the train driver.
The Villefort village hall was opened to welcome travelers, supported by “rescue and security forces“, according to the prefecture.
“In the immediate future, our actions are entirely focused on the travelers and our agent who were injured during this accident. We are working with emergency services to do everything possible to facilitate the operations carried out and the care of travelers.”specifies the SNCF.
Diagnostic des installations
The SNCF Réseau teams on site will then have to clear the track and carry out a diagnosis of the installations before declaring the resumption of traffic. The line will remain closed until Thursday, October 31, 6 p.m.
