Saint-Sylvestre-sur-Lot. Taste Week at Rainbow Kindergarten

For taste week, the children of the Arc-en-ciel nursery school were invited to Château Le Stelsia for a tasting of pastries on the theme of chestnuts. They were received by Calogero Palermo, director, and Lina, before enjoying pancakes, pear and chestnut soup, chocolate cakes and hot chocolate. In addition, pastry workshops were organized within the school with the participation of teachers, ATSEM and parents of students. The sixty little schoolchildren from different classes cooked together recipes using chestnuts and prepared an autumn fruit salad. They also shared a snack with products offered by the families: chestnut honey and prune cream. In the municipal canteen, the cook Christophe and the catering staff prepared, for the students of the two schools, menus typical of four regions of : Alsace, , South-West and Alpes-Maritimes. To close the week of taste which achieved a well-deserved success, a cake sale organized by the Parents' Association (APE) on the premises of the Arc-en-ciel nursery school.
