VIDEO. Actors and skippers from the film “La Vallée des fous” meet in the Vendée Globe village

Jean-Paul Rouve and the entire team of the film “La Vallée des fous” met at the Vendée Globe 2024 village, Thursday October 24, for the preview of the film at the Le Grand palace cinema, in Sables-d’Olonne.

“The Valley of Fools” hits theaters on November 13. This film tells the life of Jean-Paul, played by Jean-Paul Rouve. Passionate about sailing, he accumulates debts and moves away from his family. He signed up for Virtual Regatta, the virtual Vendée Globe race, and put himself in the conditions of a real skipper by isolating himself for three months on his boat in his garden.

In the film, some skippers play their own roles. The Vendée Globe village, and the film preview at the Sables-d'Olonne cinema, were therefore a unique opportunity to bring together the entire film crew before the start of the race and in an ideal setting.

Jean Le Cam took the opportunity to show his boat, an Imoca that the actors and the director now know well and intend to follow closely from the start of the race on November 10.
