A specification

This project concerns the renovation of an agricultural stable building which will be rebuilt using eco-construction according to specifications including the reuse of materials, bio-sourced materials, participatory construction sites, with a building that is low in energy and welcoming to wildlife. and flora.

“This project is supported by the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region to the tune of 300,000 euros (out of a total forecast cost of the project of 496,000 euros”). regional elected officials said last Thursday during the visit. “And financially assisted by the State to the tune of €278,000”also indicated the representative of the Deux-Sèvres prefecture.

The work is planned to last one year.

The project is led by the Deux-Sèvres Nature Environnement association (DSNE), which manages the Regional Nature Reserve.

What is the Bocage des Antonins PNR?

The Bocage des Antonins Regional Nature Reserve (RNR) extends over 22.6 hectares of bocage made up of more than 70% wetlands and numerous habitats of regional and European interest providing rich fauna and flora with a significant number of protected species and characteristics of a bocage in a very good state of conservation. The site is marked by a particular history, linked to the religious order of the Antonines (13th century) and to the famous naturalist René Verriet de Litardière (1888-1957) who left the site with a rich heritage of his knowledge. The preservation of the natural heritage of the Bocage des Antonins RNR is ensured by the Deux-Sèvres Nature Environnement association.

The Bocage des Antonins RNR is financed according to the intervention regulations in force for the RNRs, in 2024, regional aid of 89,000 euros was voted in the Permanent Commission in March to ensure the management of the site and all associated actions ( surveillance, monitoring, environmental education, administrative, etc.), for a total budget of 112,922 euros.
