Despite the presence of trade winds, from the early hours of Monday morning the sky is bright. By mid-morning, clouds settle in inland and along the slopes of the department.

At the beginning of the afternoon, the cover becomes denser: “in the North-West quarter, where some storms break out, going so far as to threaten the coastline. In the mountains, the sun shines at Pas de Bellecombe-Jacob, Grand-Bénare and Piton-des-Neiges, but Maïdo has a more mixed afternoon“, precise Météo-France Reunion.

The sky clears in the evening, except in the South-East where a maritime entrance arrives “It is accompanied by a few showers and gusts on the sides of the Volcano”.

The flow from East to South-East is strengthening. Gusts of trade winds (65 km/h) sweep the coast between Saint-Joseph and Saint-Pierre, they will also be present this Monday morning in the capital (55 km/h). In the afternoon, this wind hits the east, the slopes of La Fournaise and the western beaches (55 km/h).

Temperatures are starting to rise again. Meteorologists expect 27 to 29°C on the coast, 22 to 26 in the cirques, 17 towards Maïdo and 20°C at Pas de Bellecombe-Jacob.

The sea is generally calm in the North-West and rough in areas exposed to the wind.
