Fez: Proclamation of the results of the 1st competition of the Mohammed VI Foundation of African Ulema on Hadith

Fez – The list of winners of the final of the first edition of the Mohammed VI Foundation of African Ulema competition on the Hadith Nabawi Acharif, which took place from October 18 to 20 remotely from the city of Fez, has been announced Sunday.

Thus, Tasnime Joumaa from the Republic of Sudan, Abdulkawi Farouk Ali from the Republic of Kenya and Muhammad Kamal from the Republic of Ghana won the first places in the three categories of this competition.

The general secretariat of the Foundation also decided to award an encouragement prize to the candidates Abdelhak Sayed Dlamini (8 years old) from the Kingdom of Eswatini and Hafsa Diallo from the Republic of Cape Verde.

In his speech on this occasion, the Secretary General of the Mohammed VI Foundation of African Ulema, Mohamed Rifki, indicated that the Foundation surrounded the participants in this competition, men and women, with all its concern in accordance with the high directives of Amir Al Mouminine, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, to encourage them to persevere more in memorizing the noble Sunnah of the Prophet Sidna Mohammed, peace and blessings be upon Him.

He stressed that this Foundation competition contributes to the consolidation of the African personality and constitutes an initiative aimed at strengthening attachment to religion on the basis of the authentic values ​​of the Prophetic Sunnah.

Mr. Rifki praised the high level demonstrated by all participants, men and women, in memorizing and assimilating the rules of Hadith, stressing that this reflects the considerable efforts of the presidents and members of the 48 sections of the Foundation in the countries of the African continent, in the service of the Sunnah, as well as the results of good coordination and fruitful cooperation between all sections and the General Secretariat of the institution.

He added that the results of this first edition of the Mohammed VI Foundation of African Ulema competition on the Hadith Nabawi Acharif were crowned with success, having made it possible to discover an “excellent” elite of participants, of both sexes and all ages, and who are able to represent the African continent with dignity and achieve good results in various international events.

In the same context, Mr. Rifki paid tribute to the great efforts made by the members of the jury of all sections during the elimination phases, as well as the jury of the final phases to ensure the success of this edition.

In a speech on behalf of the scientific committee of the competition, Sheikh Abdullah Barag Rwal Kout, Secretary General of the Islamic Council of the Republic of South Sudan and member of the Foundation’s section in this country, welcomed, for his part, of the particular interest accorded by Amir Al Mouminine, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, to the holy Quran and the noble Sunnah of the Prophet (PBUH), and the efforts made by the Sovereign to preserve the noble values ​​and constants of religion.

He affirmed that the Sunnah records the actions and words of the Messenger of God and contributes to preserving the finality of religion and Shariaa.

For his part, the general coordinator of the competition, Abdelhamid Alami, noted that this competition took place in an atmosphere of fair competition between the different candidates, noting that the members of the jury adopted standards taking into account the principles of rigor and performance to decide between the candidates.

During this ceremony, certificates were presented to the members of the competition jury, in the three categories, in recognition of their efforts.

At the end of the competition, the participants implored the Most High to preserve HM King Mohammed VI, Amir Al-Mouminine, to crown His steps with success and to fulfill the Sovereign in the persons of HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, of HRH Prince Moulay Rachid and all the members of the illustrious Royal Family.

They also raised prayers for the repose of the souls of the late Sovereigns, HM Mohammed V and HM Hassan II.

This competition, organized over a period of three days, saw the participation of 122 candidates, including 20 women, members of sections of the Foundation in 48 African countries.

The general secretariat of the Foundation organized, during the months of July and August 2024 in coordination with all of its 48 sections in African countries, the qualifiers for the first edition of this competition.

Each section of the Foundation then organized a competition at the level of its country to select the candidates, of both sexes, to represent the sections of the Foundation during these finals.
