In its forecast bulletin for this Monday, October 21, Météo-France placed 17 departments on yellow alert for the risk of flooding.
Caution. Seventeen French departments were classified under yellow “flood” vigilance by Météo-France for Monday.
While France has been facing significant rain showers or high tides for several days, particularly on the Atlantic coast, the risk will always be for the first day of the week ahead.
Among the departments concerned, we find Aisne, Allier, Cher, Eure-et-Loir, Gironde, Indre and Indre-et-Loire.
Landes, Loir-et-Cher, Loire, Nièvre, Pyrénées-Atlantiques and Saône-et-Loire are also under surveillance.
Doubled vigilance for certain departments
Four other departments have also been placed under yellow alert for floods, as well as “rain-floods”. These are Eure, Ille-et-Vilaine, Oise and Seine-Maritime.
In total, Météo-France placed 28 departments on yellow alert for this Monday, October 21. The meteorological service recommends keeping informed of developments in the situation, particularly in the event of activities exposed to floods.
