The work to bury the electrical and telephone lines on the Route de la Fontaine and the city park was the subject of a double inauguration on Saturday October 12 in Nuzéjouls. Apart from the population and municipal elected officials, it was in the presence of Serge Rigal, president of the departmental council, Geneviève Lasfargues representative of the region, senator Raphaël Daubet and the deputy of the constituency Aurélien Pradié that the prefect Claire Raullin cut the ribbon , formalizing the realization by the municipality of these two structuring elements. Mayor Brigitte Dessertaine, in the presence of Jean-Claude Bessou, president of Territoire Énergie 46, did not fail to thank the entire team who provided valuable technical and financial assistance for this work which also concerned landfilling. a high voltage line, a partial reinforcement of medium voltage, without forgetting all the telephone networks. This major project, amounting to €437,651 excluding tax, resulted in an out-of-pocket cost of €70,475 for the municipality thanks to additional aid from the department (Fast) of €20,000.
Residents now have a new, friendly play area suitable for everyone, instead of a disused tennis court. Total cost of the operation: €51,925 excluding tax including €15,578 from the State, €7,741 from the region and €10,383 from the department. After the speeches of the officials affirming their desire to support the projects of rural municipalities despite the economic difficulties, the final word went to the prefect who congratulated the municipality for its dynamism recalling that “the State would always be at the side communities to support them in their projects” and that “despite a complicated financial situation, all together in solidarity, we can overcome this difficult period”
