Remarkable participation of Morocco at the International Food Fair

( region) – Morocco is present in force at the 60th edition of the International Food Fair (SIAL), which opened its doors on Saturday at the Paris Villepinte exhibition center.

Morocco is present at this Show, considered one of the largest meetings for the agri-food industry in Europe and in the world, with a delegation of more than 80 exporting companies aiming to highlight the diversity of the Moroccan offer in the agri-food and fishing sectors.

On this occasion, HM the King’s ambassador in Paris, Samira Sitail, visited the Moroccan stand, which is experiencing massive attendance.

“We are very happy to participate in the 60th edition of SIAL Paris, with 82 Moroccan companies,” indicated, in a statement to MAP, El Mehdi El Alami, director of promotion and development at Morocco Foodex, an independent establishment of control and coordination of exports, at the initiative of the Morocco pavilion.

This participation, he said, “allows us to present our entire exportable offer of food products, from different regions of the Kingdom”.

And added: “We are also proud to be able to highlight the quality of Moroccan products and their taste quality”, noting that “Made in Morocco” is very popular with European consumers and clients, and more particularly French.

Through its 1102m² pavilion, set up in two halls of the Show, Morocco offers itself the opportunity to promote local productive potential and establish new connections with international importers. A vast range of Moroccan local products is highlighted to illustrate the great diversity and dynamism of the national agro-industry, ranging from olive oil to pasta, tea, couscous, and preserves. fish, confectionery or biscuits.

Placed under the sign “Own the change”, the 2024 edition of SIAL Paris, which will continue until October 23, brings together 7,500 exhibitors from 130 countries, and should attract, overall, more than 285,000 visitors, according to the organizers.
