“Child’s Play Monument” today and tomorrow, October 19 and 20 throughout France

At the start of the All Saints’ Day holidays, the 26th edition of “Child’s Play Monument” is being held. With this event, the Center des monuments nationaux (CMN) invites children and parents to celebrate monuments with their families, during a weekend of fun and educational activities.

It’s the first weekend of the All Saints’ Day holidays. 5-12 year olds are getting ready to enjoy free activities in one of the 59 participating palaces, castles, parks and gardens; including the Hôtel de la Marine. Located Place de la Concorde in Paris, the sumptuous decor of the Hôtel de la Marine was designed and created by the same architects, artists and craftsmen as the Château de Versailles! Former royal storage room (of Louis XV), it was built between 1757 and 1774.

“Look at the king who is going to order the construction of this building, he is there, his name is Louis XV, is he handsome or not?” Guided tour in the company of the tour guide, Donara Baghdasaryan, who awaits children from 5 years old under the superb glass roof of the monument which reopened in 2021 after four years of work“. Because in the past, it was the intendant who was in charge of the development of the Hôtel de la Marine, an 18th century jewel, on Place de la Concorde. A monumental visit!
