The decline continues, but vigilance remains essential. In a weather bulletin published at 10 a.m. this Saturday, October 19, Météo-France switched the Gironde department to orange alert for a risk of flooding, downgrading the others to yellow, notably Landes and Puy-de-Dôme.

A “significant flood is spreading on the Allier” while “significant floods” during high tides continue downstream of the Adour and the Nive, the watchdog wrote at 6 a.m.

A “new disruption”

At the same time, Météo-France specifies in its bulletin that the “new Atlantic disturbance” will bring rainy weather to the west of the country in the morning. “The associated rain remains light over the western half in the afternoon. Clearings manage to develop behind the Atlantic coastline in the English Channel,” the agency predicts.

Conversely, in the South-East, hit by bad weather, the weather will be “dry and mostly sunny.

As for temperatures, “in the early morning we expect 8 to 13°C, up to 14 to 16°C in Corsica. The maximums are between 16 and 19°C in the north of the country, 17 to 22°C in the South.
