Council of Ministers: New appointments of ambassadors

Morocco continues to strengthen its international relations, in particular by consolidating its diplomatic ties with several African nations. During a ministerial council chaired this Friday in Rabat by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, decisions of strategic importance were ratified, marking a new stage in Moroccan diplomacy. Among these measures, the appointment of several ambassadors, according to the terms of a statement issued by the official spokesperson of the Royal Palace.

These appointments, made on the proposal of the Prime Minister and at the initiative of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans living abroad, reflect the Kingdom’s desire to strengthen its presence on the international scene, particularly in Africa, a continent at the heart of Morocco’s diplomatic priorities.

Thus, several leading personalities have been designated to represent the Kingdom abroad, testifying to the importance given to the diversification of Morocco’s diplomatic partnerships. Among these leading figures, we note:

– Othman El Ferdaous, appointed Ambassador to the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, a key country in Moroccan-African cooperation;
– Abdelkader El Jamoussi, appointed Ambassador to the Republic of Cameroon, thus strengthening a historic and strategic relationship;
– Mustapha El Alami Fellousse, appointed Ambassador to the Central African Republic, marking a new milestone in efforts to achieve rapprochement with this nation;
– Najoua El Berrak, Ambassador to the Republic of Congo, illustrating the rise of Moroccan women’s diplomacy;
– Mohammed Iboumraten, appointed Ambassador to the Republic of Niger, thus strengthening economic and security cooperation ties;
-Ahmed Rida Chami, appointed Ambassador to the European Union, a major institution for the Kingdom’s political and economic relations;
– Fatiha Ayadi, appointed Ambassador to Denmark, in testimony to Morocco’s growing interest in strengthening its relations with Scandinavian countries;
– Omar Amghar, Ambassador to the Republic of Serbia, thus consolidating relations between Morocco and the Balkans;
– Redouane Adghoghi, appointed Ambassador to the Republic of Bulgaria, to promote closer cooperation with Eastern Europe;
– Majid Halim, appointed Ambassador to Malaysia, continuing the momentum towards active diplomacy in Southeast Asia;
– Redouane Houssaini, appointed Ambassador to the Republic of Indonesia, aiming to strengthen relations between the Kingdom and this major regional player;
– Boutaina El Kerdoudi, Ambassador to the Republic of Bangladesh, consolidating ties with one of Asia’s emerging economies;
– Younes Dirhoussi, designated Ambassador to Saint Lucia, a small island state in the Caribbean, thus highlighting Morocco’s diplomatic opening to new geographical horizons.

These appointments are in line with the strategic vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, aiming to consolidate Morocco’s position as a key player on the international scene. This series of diplomatic designations demonstrates the Kingdom’s renewed commitment to working for peace, cooperation and sustainable development, both in Africa and beyond.
