A body serving employment for all – Le Petit Journal

On October 15, Pierre-André Durand, prefect of the region, and Carole Delga, president of the Occitanie region, represented by her vice-president Jalil Benabdillah, installed the Regional Employment Committee (CRPE). This committee comes from the law for full employment, which created the Employment Network, co-chaired by the State and local authorities at each territorial level.

The CRPE aims to offer employment for all through reinforced socio-professional support. Experiments carried out in Aveyron have shown positive results, with 46% return to employment for those supported and 91% satisfaction. Similar experiments in Saint-Gaudens, Castelsarrasin-Moissac and have also demonstrated the effectiveness of this approach.

The CRPE meeting made it possible to discuss the implementation of the reform and to define a road map around three axes: strengthening support for companies, particularly VSE-SMEs, in their recruitment and retention efforts employees; strengthen support and skills development for people looking for work; and support the local governance of the employment network.

This roadmap will be fed by feedback from local and departmental employment committees, which will be installed by the end of the year. The next CRPE meeting, scheduled for the first quarter of 2025, will validate the regional roadmap.
